The Buchanan Lying Times.......................HOME

Ken Parks has tolerated and been very patient in having to contend with the malicous activities of his biological sister, Paulette Buchanan, of Colchester, Connecticut. This website has been an outlet to tell the truth and quash her libelous and defamatory statements spread thoughout the Internet.

PauletteBuchananLies.com has been produced only in response to the libelous web sites of Paulette Buchanan of Colchester, CT and the Michael Barrick article(s).

Paulettes Associates with Felon Rick Ross

Paulette Buchanan associates herself with known felon and kidnapper Rick Ross by initiating her hatred and denouncing ETC Ministries with her lies and defamation in Rick Ross' forum as “Sojourn.” Liars such as Paulette Buchanan have a tendency to associate with known terrorists and felons.

It is reported in the wikipedia website that Rick Ross was convicted of a felony at the age of 22 for jewelry embezzlement. In another website it is noted that Rick Ross had been treated with psychiatric drugs and is suspected of being a homosexual.

In the Jason Scott case, the testimony indicated that Rick Ross had masterminded the assault and abduction of Mr. Scott, handcuffed him for 5 days for extensive cult deprogramming. Mr. Scott eventually escaped and sued his captors.

On or about September 25, 1995, the jury found that Rick Ross had “intentionally and recklessly acted in a way that is so outrageous in character and so extreme in degree as to be beyond all possible bounds of decency and to be regarded as atrocious and utterly intolerable in a civilized community.” Rick Ross was found liable for violations of Mr. Scott’s civil rights and consequently was court ordered to pay $2.5 million in punitive damages. The federal judge noted, “the defendants seeming incapability of appreciating the maliciousness of their conduct towards Mr. Scott…”

Paulette Buchanan, a know liar, troublemaker and busybody has aligned herself with the infamous Rick Ross, a person who is a convicted felon and was ordered to pay $2.5 million in a 1995 federal civil law suit for unlawful and false imprisonment , attempted to force Mr. Scott toward his belief system.

Rick Ross’ has sided with Paulette Buchanan. Attempts have been made to clarify and show the “legal facts” of Parks v. Paulette Buchanan, et al., but Rick Ross has purposely edited the postings to omit the “facts” and post his biased rhetoric in favor of Paulette Buchanan.

On the educational side of the house: Rick Ross has excelled at the High School level of education. He graduated. It appears that he has no other forms of higher education and yet he proclaims himself an expert in cults.

According to Dr. Nancy T. Ammerman, an eminent religious scholar at Princeton University, Rick Ross had a “direct ideological (and financial) interest in arousing suspicion and antagonism” against what he called ‘cults’. And noted that while Ross calls himself an expert he is certainly not recognized as such by the academic community and in fact, “deprogramming tactics have been increasingly found to fall outside the law.”

Because of the past criminal activity and kidnappings, the management of the new Cult Awareness Center (CAN) has disassociated itself from the likes of Rick Ross.

Paulette Buchanan fits well into the same mindset as Rick Ross… another seemingly psychiatric case study.

WARNING: ETC Ministries does not recommend or endorse the Rick Ross scheme and tactics. The following is a list of few individuals/organizations that hold the same view.

Christian Fellowship Ministries - "Here is Rick Ross’s lists of articles on CFM. We do not endorse Rick Ross nor do we approve of his tactics towards many legitimate Christian churches and groups.- Source: Slam The Door"

Apologetics Index - "We wish to make it clear that we, the publishers of Apologetics Index, do not endorse Rick Ross nor refer people to him. We are not alone in this standpoint, nor in our criticism of his approach or behavior."

International Cultic Studies Association - the largest interdisciplinary network of professional cult experts - will not refer people to Rick Ross.

Steven Hassan - secular cult expert has been involved in educating the public about mind control and destructive cults for over twenty three years. He is a licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds a Master's degree in counseling psychology from Cambridge College. Rick Ross has publicly attacked Mr. Hassan's approach to counseling and his intervention and/or counseling fees.

David Clark - professional cult expert "Mr. Ross has also decided to concentrate on Bible based or Christian oriented groups as a major area of focus in his public relations campaign, although his own orientation and background is Jewish, having worked for and served Jewish agencies in his previous professional commitments."

Rick Ross has made his share of anti-Christian rhetoric, denouncing the gospel of Jesus Christ and His devinity as being the Messiah.

Rick Ross claims that Christian fundamentalists have attempted to convert Jews. He's right. Jesus has commisioned his very Elect to spread the good news of His salvation to everyone, including the Jews. Rick Ross thinks that this is "bigotry." Call it what you want. The true Christian's desire is to let it be known about the Truth, the Way, and the Life.

Perhaps, Paulette Buchanan could hire the services of Rick Ross and have Ken Parks kidnapped and deprogrammed to fit her religious beliefs.
Despite Rick Ross' claim of being a "cult expert", his educational background shows that he graduated from a High School , has no formal religious education, nor does he have any educational credentials. His infamous background points to anti-Christian statements such as referring to Christians as "Bible bangers
The primary motive for Rick Ross' attacks on Christians and members of other faiths seems to be for the purpose of promoting his self-aggrandizement and personal financial reward.
Walter Martin (1928-1989) was a Christian apologist who founded Christian Research Institute (CRI) and wrote Kingdom of the Cults. In comparison to Rick Ross, Walter Martin had greater education achievements, credentials and credence when it comes to knowledge and understanding of cults.
ETC Ministries is not the only one who have recognized the teachings and practices of Rick Ross and his obvious bias against Christian missionary organizations. ETC Ministires also recognizes that Rick Ross has no formal education in the area of Christian theology.

The Paulette Buchanan Agenda:
Paulette Buchanan has vowed in Court submitted evidence (one of her letters of harassment) that she will not stop her obsessive behavior and will continue to make attempts to disrupt Ken's life and spread her malignant lies throughout the Internet.

Paulette Buchanan's ultimate goal is to make it appear that it is Ken Parks who is doing all of the harassment and then have him thrown in jail.
